THE NEW, INTERACTIVE WEB PRESENCE OF JUNGE KLASSIK - APPROPRIATELY ORCHESTRATED

The Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz is the most important and largest symphony orchestra in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. More than ten years ago, the concept of Junge Klassik (Young Classics) came onto the scene. The experience and learning platform already inspired young and old with numerous offers and already provided in the past for up to 150,000 visits per week. During the long phase of home schooling, the platform was used even more intensively by educational institutions, even though the media formats had become outdated. The Grimme Award-nominated team of Jochen Keller and Uwe Stanzl worked with acameo to develop a renewed, modern design and numerous modified features, resulting in a comprehensive CMS and virtual tours of the Staatsphilharmonie. The result is a fascinating and interactive journey through the worlds of music.

Users enter the premises of the Staatsphilharmonie through the immersive tours, which were recorded on the basis of a point cloud and 360° panoramas. The tour "Wir lieben Musik", for example, allows the user to travel from the lobby to the rehearsal hall of the orchestra. Through various points of interest (POI), which include texts, images and videos, the real environment can be felt and experienced digitally. In addition to a user-friendly navigation, the sidebar and the progress bar can be used to direct the user to the individual stations. An overall experience was created that invites young and old to discover.

After the 360° experience has given the visitors the feeling of being directly on site, they have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on the topics of orchestra, instruments, time travel and theory through various contents. By combining video content, graphics, texts and numerous illustrations, a multimedia experience is generated. In a playful and easy way, the users receive further information and insights into the topics of music history, instruments, staff and many other contents. The specially designed games are a highlight. Here, visitors can get active again by conducting a concert themselves or putting their knowledge of instruments to the test. The combination of educational content and heterogeneous gamification has created a completely new way of imparting knowledge in the field of (classical) music. Throughout all stations, the clear design, which was fundamentally modernized by acameo, runs, enabling clarity and an obstacle-free use. An experience that is probably unique in the world of music.

The relaunch of Junge Klassik has created a low-threshold access to a wonderful themed world. Supported by BASF, this digital twin of the Philharmonie in Ludwigshafen is now also a meeting place for digital and hybrid encounters and enables digital education and participation. For this reason, the Young Classics project sees itself as a pilot project that wants to use new digital formats to convey classical music in an entertaining way with innovation and humanity. Therefore, in a second project phase, the focus will be on multilingualism and internationalization as well as on intelligent and refreshingly barrier-free accessibility. Thereby the focus will be on cultural participation and aesthetic education for people worldwide. acameo wishes you a lot of fun while learning, playing, making music and trying out.
