ACAMEO-CEO WINS DIGAMUS AWARD

For the virtual exhibition "Dental|Things" 

Small but excellent! The very first DigAMus-Award has arrived at our headquarters. The project managers, acameo CEO Dr. Frank Dürr and David Kühner, are happy to receive the first special award for digital exhibitions in Germany for their virtual exhibition "Dental|Things".The virtual exhibition was designed and realized in cooperation with two work groups from the seminar “Dental|Things”. The project shifted from analogue to digital due to the ongoing global health situation. Professional photographs that visually present the fascinating inventory of the dental exhibits were created by Valentin Marquardt. A Hackathon was held at which participants from three study groups of various universities participated. At the Hackathon, exciting projects for presenting the dental exhibition’s data sets were developed. 
The 3D-printed award represents best practice examples of the digitalisation of museums and exhibitions. The award was initiated by employees of the Geman Museum to show the importance of museum projects that are dedicated to inclusion, diversity, participation or sustainabillity and offer inspiration for the museum landscape.
