ACAMEO PARTICIPATES IN TWO AWARDS WITH DLZ GOMARINGEN PROJECT

acameo submitted the results of this great project, which took place in cooperation with the DLZ Gomaringen, in two awards. 

The former corsetry factory in Gomaringen is a testimony to industrialisation and a monument to historical architecture. The building was renovated by the municipality to serve as the new service centre (DLZ) in the village. 

Here, acameo worked together with Frieder Findeisen on the reappraisal of the cultural history which was to be presented as a permanent exhibition in the building. In extensive research it became clear that narratives which say something about this place and its people in many different ways are of central importance. The result of this research formed the guideline for the staging. It takes the individual stories as a starting point, retells them and stages them graphically. 

Modernity and history, exhibition and office as well as information and design could be linked. A project could be realised that sets the stage for the prestigious conversion of the old factory in terms of art and design and offers added value for future generations.
